Derek is a 2023 class graduate of Equality Charter High School. He is currently a sophomore at John Jay College of Criminal Justice where he majors in criminal justice and minors in criminology. At John Jay, Derek is part of the My Brother’s Keepers program that helps men of color throughout their college career. Outside of academics Derek has a passion for baseball and fitness where he strives to achieve greatness. He is also an intern with the NYPD Cadet Corp Program, where he does administrative work that aids the community and gives him experience for his future endeavors.
