Highlights of the Equality Charter School program include:

  • Breakfast provided at the school beginning at 8:00am in Homeroom
  • A middle school day from 8:00 am to 3:51 pm and a high school day from 7:30am to 3:00pm.
  • A small school with a ratio of approximately 13 scholars for every teacher, strong administrators, instructional coaches, teachers, counselors, social workers, deans, morning aides and afternoon aides.
  • An academic program with both advanced and remedial classes to meet the needs of all learners in order to close the achievement gap and prepare students for college and careers.
  • A safe school. We concentrate on catching students when they do well and rewarding them when they meet our expectations.
  • In addition to a rigorous academic curriculum, Equality also offers many after school sports including flag football, track, basketball, volleyball, step team, and cheerleading.
  • The Success Principles Action Plan: students will actively identify their goals and plan action steps to reach them.
  • True data-driven instruction, where school staff meet every week to discuss student progress, collaborate on instruction, receive professional development, and advance Equality scholars.
